Season Schedule

The World's End Theatre Company is proud to present The 4th Annual World's End Theatre Festival from July 15th to August 7th 2011.

They Club Seals, Don't They?
by The Mummers Troupe
8pm Fridays and Saturdays July 15, 16, 22, 23, 39, 30, August 5 & 6
Wesley United Church, Seldom

They Club Seals, Don't They? is a well-loved piece from the Newfoundland repetoire. Collectively written by the Mummers Troupe and successfully – and controversially – toured in 1978, it is an uproarious, episodic comedy which deals with issues that are still at the fore-front of Newfoundland society today. World's End Theatre is privileged to be producing this work on Fogo Island, where the Co-op continues to deal in seal meat and fur.

WORLD PREMIERE: Kept
by Amy Anthony and Philip Goodridge
12 noon Saturdays and Sundays July 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 31, August 6 & 7
Outdoor locations throughout the Islands. Picnic lunches are welcome.
(Indoor locations will be available nearby in case of poor weather.)

Suzy and Norman aren't friends. Not even close. But when they find themselves face to face with a fairy, they are going to have to work together to make it out of the woods.
Commissioned for the 2011 World's End Theatre Festival and written by two of the most promising emerging playwrights in the province, Kept explores some of the wealth of folklore native to Fogo Island. Written and produced with young families in mind, this show is a fun and colourful adventure full of music and play.
